I'm absolutely disgusted with the way some people think they can treat animals.  I'm watching 'Animal Cops Houston' and there's a dog who is so sweet, but she's been chained up so tight, her chain collar has actually grown into the skin around her neck!  What the hell is all that about?  The poor thing was so scared but her little tail never stopped wagging.  (She's a. little 5 month old GSD)

Dogs are one of the most faithful animals you can have as a pet.  They love you unconditionally and will do anything to please you.  I just can't put into words the way I feel.

Horses are pretty much the same.  The are gentle, caring animals but I don't think a lot of people realise how much hard work they are, so they just dump them!!!

Absolutely crazy.  I hate the human race.

I hate seeing them in the cages where they're up for adoption as well.  They need to be in houses being snuggled and spoilt.

If there's anything that distresses me as much as cruelty to children it's seeing an animal being abused or injured. I can't watch the RSPCA ads because they make me cry, and if I see two cats fighting and one is suffering I'll intervene. When I was living in Birmingham a frightened rat ran over my foot when I was on my way back from the shops, with a cat chasing it - so I let the rat past and made sure to frighten the cat off (I've owned domestic rats and I love them). A couple of months ago I brought a mortally wounded Blackbird home with me so it could die quietly in a box in the garage rather than be a victim of local cats or larger predator birds.

Sadly I was forced to give up my two beautiful black cats 13 years ago when my son was born disabled and I had no support; I wish they'd not been put in a cage, but on the other hand someone fell in love with them and took them home the following day. Not all animals are that lucky, and certainly most aren't given up out of love (I wanted my cats to continue having the love and care and fuzzles that I could no longer find the time to give them after my son was born) :(

Yeah, it's difficult when they've been a part of your family for so long but at least you did the right thing and didn't just throw them out of the house.

I just don't understand it!

Oh I never would have thrown Marvin and Sooty out on the street - they were my beautiful black furry babies and I adored them. Like you, I just can't understand why somebody would do something so horrible :(

Marvin was 4 and Sooty was 9 when I had to part with them, so they're certainly not going to still be alive now, but I hope that their new owner continued to make them the spoiled, loved, fat cats that they were when they were with me :)
