Following on from 'What's in your handbag'?

What is the one thing you never leave the house without?  Apart from the obvious that is.

Mine is my mobile phone.  Doesn't matter if I'm walking the dogs or just nipping around the corner to the shop, I feel as though a limb is missing if I don't have it and I find that a quite disturbing admission.  I know it's in case the kids need to get hold of me as they live with their dad and one of the first things I bought Gemma when her dad and I split was a mobile phone.  I also need to keep it with me in case anything happens to Paul while I'm out.   His leg likes to give way when he least expects it and I worry about him.

It's clearly more of a comfort thing than a necessity as I have only had one for the past 11 years, not as long as some people have had them by any stretch of the imagination but I can't imagine not having one now!

I'm so sad!

I'd probably say my mobile too, and no it's not sad, it is indeed a necessity! I do want to be reachable if, say, one of my little girls is poorly at school, or a friend fancies an impromtu cuppa, or if I need picking up from Tesco (I don't drive so hubby moonlights as my personal chauffeur ;-). But in the past I also found it invaluable when my cards got stolen and I was able to ring up the bank and cancel them immediately... and the day hubby's ticker went kabloom :-/

Absolutely. I just got to wondering how we managed before we had them? It seems unbelievable but I think that because we didn't have them we didn't worry about keeping in touch as much.

donno. Debit card I think. I always need it when I don't have it.

People only phone or text when I leave my mobile at home anyway LOL
