I'm having a smug day today.

Despite lying in till 10.30 (though in fairness I did get up at 6 to let the dogs out), I took the dogs for a walk then came back and blitzed the kitchen. Pulled out the fridge, dishwasher and cooker, swept, mopped and scrubbed the splashes from the side of the cooker. Washed down all the paintwork and tiles and now my kitchen is gleaming. No-one is allowed to use it! (Can you tell I was watching 'How Clean is Your House' - how I hate daytime TV and how the hell can people not seen how shitty their homes are? I wouldn't let Kizzie live in them. There's a woman on at the moment who lives on a farm. It's a beautiful home but it's disgusting! Her cat jumps onto the work surfaces in the kitchen and licks the plates and cooking utensils)!!!

In between cleaning I've been catching ads on TV for WSPA and RSPCA both of which were featuring dogs. I'm a complete wreck where dogs are concerned and my ambition is to one day open a foster home for dogs.

when I first moved here husband was watching his friends animals while living in her house (which we bought) and the cat was FED on the work top - OH HELL NO. ew ew ew.

My ex has just moved his gf into his house and she has a cat. It walks on the dining table while they're eating! I wouldn't mind but my kids have to eat at that table too! How would she like it if Gemma took Kizzie and plonked her on the table while they were tucking into their lunch?

omg ew. I really can't stand that, they bury their own shit by moving it around with paws that they PUT ON YOUR FOOD PLATES! no no no. Ew. Tippit has to lay in her bed or stay in the corner of the kitchen while we are cooking/eating.
