OK so it's not the easiest job in the world and it can be quite frustrating but bloody hell, get a hold of yourself and realise that plans change, people cancel bookings. Being cross-questioned about jobs that have cancelled is not the way forward, nor does it do you any favours. If things change, it's not for us to question the client, it is for us and you to be professional and deal with it. We know you're losing money because of it but think back to all the times you've been offered work and thrown it back because it's not exactly what you want. Just look at things from our side of the desk and remember it's not personal, it's not a vendetta, it's just the way the cookie crumbles. Whether you do the work doesn't affect my earnings. I still get paid whether you do it or not but your earnings depend on how much you do. If you have a gripe, don't come running to us, go to the organ grinder and tell him! Now go away and start acting like grown ups!
Puppies learn sign language
Mar. 4th, 2009 08:05 pmThis is Meg, she's a 15 week old Labrador cross puppy who is deaf. She's just adorable and rather than being pushed to one side until someone comes to give her a new forever home, she's been taught basic sign language! Seems to be a common thing for deaf dogs. Snowy is also deaf and was given to the Dogs' Trust because her owners couldn't cope with having a deaf puppy. Blue is a collie cross who couldn't be rehomed because he's deaf. It's so sad. Anyone who knows me knows how soft I am with my dogs and how important they are to me and I can't imagine doing this to one of my dogs. They're members of the family at the end of the day and if one of my children was deaf, I wouldn't give them away. Thankfully Meg has found a new home. I just hope the others find homes soon too. I wonder...
Your comments are getting tedious now!
Mar. 4th, 2009 08:15 pmAs most of you will know, this is where I get things off my chest. Maybe the person it's aimed at will read it, maybe they won't, it doesn't really matter to me either way but I have to get it out of my system and psot about how I'm feeling at this moment in time.
( Sadly, one of those 'you know who you are' posts. )

I rang Sky and cancelled most of our channels! Now, instead of hundreds of crap channels we don't want, we only have about 100! It feels quite liberating lol.
It's actually something we procrastinated over for months because we had the movie channels, news, sports...we never ever watched most of it and even less so now that Paul has his Xbox so I reckon we can at least put the money to better use.
Now, what's on....
