A Monday away from work.
Mar. 30th, 2009 01:29 pmI had a bit to do today that I wanted to get out of the way quickly...shopping. I hate shopping with a passion but I had to get Robbie's pressies and I had a gift card for Debenhams that my lovely children gave me for Mother's Day (but I've already told you that, haven't I)?
I actually woke up at 6 this morning but it was definitely too early to get up so I snuggled back down, moved Kizzie's bum out of my face and fell asleep again for a couple of hours. After a rude awakening from the 'phone ringing, I took the dogs for their morning constitutional and set off for Blackpool. A new 'shopping centre' has opened. It's actually been there for years but they've recently refurbished it and put lots of new stores in. As everything I needed was there and it is nearer Preston, I decided to see what was going on. I managed to get what I wanted and, surprise, surprise, treated myself to a new bag, courtesy of the kids. Time to set off out of town...what a bloody nightmare! You have to go half way round town to get into the car park, hardly any of the paystations worked and only one lift was working. Sounds like I'm lazy but I was only on the second floor and had to go down 8 flights of stairs. No way could I go back up them all (curently on steriods and ABs to help my asthma) so I walked to the other end of the shopping centre to get back).
I nipped into Tesco on my way back and spent another £85 in there (WTF? I only bought a small trolley full) and really couldn't be arsed doing any more.
Oh, I treated myself to 2 new printer cartridges and the extended version of 'Pathfinder' (£3).
