Aside from the usual frustrations, today was a bit of a mixed bag.  We were on our third coffee of the morning and my 'phone rang.  Totally and utterly normal but throwing your brew all over the 'phone is not.  One dead 'phone later and one of the boss' 'for goodness sake' looks and I nicked his 'phone  to use on my desk but I must have missed loads of calls cos the ringer was turned off!  I thought it was a quiet day!  Anyway, things got back to some semblance of normalcy and the conversation turned to tracking systems (as used in taxis) for our chauffeurs.  One of them mentioned Google Latitude so we spent the last hour of work trying to work out how to get it installed on our 'phones.  What a carry on.  We were like a bunch of bloody n00bs!  My son would have been ashamed of me.  Anyway, I now have it on mine, said driver has it on his...but the boss can't install it on his.  Sod's law!  Thing is, he wants all the drivers to sign up for it cos it's free and will help us with any last minute jobs that come in.  The drawbacks?  Most of the drivers don't even know how to use email let along download and program their phones to use it which means it will be down to me to set them all up with Googlemail accounts and then sort out their phones!  Oh the fun...when will it start?

Doesn't the being tracked everywhere thing bother you?

I know I'd hate that, even if its a day where the most exciting thing is a trip to the supermarket.

haha you need my shopping trips, but then with them I don't want to be tracked in case I kill someone. Maybe leave the phone at home for an alibi? :P

s'funny, I've never thought of Blackpool Tesco as one of the tourist attractions.

I guess we could organise a day tour.... Tesco, Lidl on Bloomfield Rd, Grange Park, and Yate's of an evening :)

Super. Mind that's their aim really Tesco everything. They've already tried to get into estate agency, so you could be renting or buying your home via Tesco too! :/

insanely bad in some cases. The recent adventure I had happened in the pet aisle, while I had no need to kill, I had to leave or laugh:

Woman *collecting random foods from random shelves*
Husband *sighs* What are you doing?
Woman: Getting a variety, that is what she would eat in the wild!
Husband: and when have you ever seen a poodle in the WILD?

And I had to leave. Normally though its old ladies or chav brats ramming me with carts more then once in more then one aisle, girls going "erg, why are they staring?!" and their boyfriends going "uh, cause you are dressed like a whore?" and other classy things :P Our tesco is an adventure, and I have to go tomorrow :(

PMSL, the BF/GF episode is one of my favourites but now the one about the poodle will stay with me when I'm in the dog food aisle.

lol you know he didn't get laid that weekend I bet :P

Yeah, I keep thinking of the book "When did wild poodles roam the earth and other imponderable questions" Ace stuff, answers all those weird questions people think about but no one wants to ask and no one has the answers too. Like what does a zoo do with an elephant when it dies, why don't penguins feet freeze, and so on :P

I hope I see her walking that poodle one day lol

Did you see the flying penguin thing the nature show dude did last year? My husband showed me it a few days after April 1st, and I was like "dude, no fucking way... but.. its the BBC.. it doesn't LOOK shopped... wait, no fucking way...." it was seriously well done lol

Stuntpilot...you can turn it off so it's not really a proper tracker as such and you can adjust the settings so that it shows you at home all the time. You can also choose who you allow to follow you, though I'm sure the police have their pwn methods of over-riding that lol

Hmmm might be useful then...

Change settings to show at work most of the time...

"Now about my pay review" ;)
