Marley and Me

rawneeI desperately want to watch "Marley and Me" but I can't even bring myself to read the book that's been sitting in my bookcase for the past how many years. I know what happens at the end because John Grogan was on the Dog Whisperer with his new dog and of course the conversation turned to Marley. (Am also quite saddened by the thought of hundreds of retriever puppies that will now be purchased and called Marley). The only thing guaranteed to make me blub like a baby is bad things happening to dogs and horses/ponies/donkeys.
So, I think the only answer is to wait until it's out on DVD and then send husband off on his own then I can sit and blub my way through it...just the once cos it will clearly be unbearable to watch more than once. Hell, all my friends who bought the book told me how they sat on the bus/train/underground blubbing their eyes out after I'd told them to buy it!
