I think it's finally happened...
...my marbles have gone.
A friend posted the link to the announcement of Michael Jackson's death on a forum I go on. It progressed for a while and then this...

If he isn't a musical artist then how has he inspired other musical artists to go out there & become an artist themselves? Justin Timberlake is very neary like him with his dance moves & his singing? He's also sold over a 1/4 BILLION records....that's quite impressive I think.

It's down to the media to provide coverage. Millions upon millions know of Micheal Jackson. Only a small number knew of the girl Demi. The media make money out of big news and unfortunately its a sad case that Demi was not big news.[/quote]

When MJ died, those who liked him will want to discuss the positive side of that news, those who disliked him will want to discuss their negative views.
Either type of discussion will fuel media coverage whether its international, national or on a forum.
Basically what I am saying is that by discussing MJ in a negative or positive manner will fuel discussion/media coverage.
