So fed up

I'm sick of having a middle aged body and a 21 year old head.  It's no fun.  I keep thinking I can still do all the things I did when I was 21...a lifetime ago.  It's bad design as far as I'm concerned.  It's not right that my flab sticks out more than my boobs.  I've been dieting for 3 months now and only lost 7lbs.  What the hell is all that about?  I haven't had a bar of chocolate since I said I was going to make an effort and in the last 4 weeks I haven't dropped a single, solitary pound.  My friend thinks it's the meds that I'm on.  I'd like to agree but it seems like a cop out answer and I'm only kidding myself, but the doc agrees.

Oh well.  A trip into town is on the books for next week.  I need some shoes for work and I want to pick up some bits and pieces and sort out the direct debit for our contact lenses that still hasn't been set up, despite their ringing us no less than 3 times in one afternoon and confirming the details.

I hate money, I hate people...we've just a rather snotty letter from the council demanding repayment of ALL the council tax we owe them from the past 3 years even though we're on an agreed payment plan with them, all because we said that, despite receiving another bill from them, our income hadn't increased any.  We don't own enough stuff to cover the amounts they're asking for either.  I wouldn't mind but we didn't say we weren't going to pay it, we said we didn't have enough money to pay it!  There's a HUGE difference.  Paul's going to ring them on Monday morning and see what they say.  I'm not hopeful.

stupid council. They don't even earn their fucking wages I swear.

as for weight - I feel you there. Dieting for as long as I can remember and now stuck at 91kg for the last 2 months. blarg.

I know. Stupid bloody job's worths. It's not as if we're not going to pay it either. We said that as soon as the compensation claim was sorted, the first thing we wanted to pay was our council tax. No wonder people are being treated for depression. Surely they can whittle out the people who can't pay as opposed to the people who don't want to pay?

Is it your meds affecting your weight as well?

Yeah, its totally fucked up. Probably a case of the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing, or its so far down the page of notes they sent the letter without reading it all like the asshats they are.

I think so, cause it just wont shift no matter what I do. Will have to ask the doctors again I think.

Absolutely. Seems the guy Paul spoke to this morning was more helpful than any of the others and has given us an extra week to sort things out because we can't get to Citizen's Advice until the day after action was due to be taken!!!

Yeah, I'm on the verge of asking my doctor, but then again I don't exercise so maybe I should try that first. I hate exercising lol, it's so boring!

still shit that they are screwing you around. Don't you get disability benefits that cover it or something?

I know. I think we've just got used to it now. Nothing surprises us any more.

Paul's not entitled to any benefits because he's 'not disabled enough'. Go figure!

that is bollocks... how about income benefit for not being employed then?

Nope, can't claim that because he's claiming Incapacity Benefit because he's not fit for work! Great isn't it? He's on the 'wrong' benefit to get any help and, apparently, I'm earning to much to get any help. Gotta love the Government!

I hear you re the middle aged body/21 year old head. I have the fantastic figure I had when I was 21.......until I open my eyes and look in the mirror :-( The only way I'll have that again is if I exercise and to be honest, I'm too bloody lazy now. Roll on the lottery win A...then you and I will both be sorted lol

Oh yes, the ever elusive lottery win that's going to solve all our problems lol. Mind you, you can't get much on a tenner nowadays lol

I am also far too lazy to exercise. I figure I do enough just looking after this lot...and yes, I know that's a cop out answer too, but I just don't have the energy lol

I'm hoping to win the lottery too. My reading pile isn't decreasing fast enough now I'm back at work.

I know...why does work have to interfere with your private life so much? We should work 2 days a week for the same pay so that we have more time to do our own stuff and housework. I hate spending my weekend doing housework!
