Do you believe in fate? Why or why not?

Definitely.  Everything happens for a reason and events over the past couple of years have proven that to me.

I am often being told that you decide your own fate but I don't think that's true in a lot of cases because you can't legislate for things that are out of your control.

No, not the film (although it is a good one if a little weird).  Today has been a little on the odd side.

I walked in to work to be told that BAe are on a level 5 alert with regard to travelling.  If they upgrade it to level 6, all travel will be cancelled.  Seems this has come about because of the swine flu.  I don't remember this kind of panic since the AIDS campaign years ago.  I guess everyone has to be prepared though having read the website listing the symptoms, I'm guessing a lot of people will think they have swine flu when they don't.

On a more personal level, work, although going OK, leaves a lot to be desired in terms of organisation and communcation so taht's something that I'm going to have to work on with my boss.  'Office manager' just seems to be 2 words at the moment without any of the input after he's had one-to-one talks with other members of staff and call me cynical, but I didn't think that was how it worked if you were supposed to be running the office.  Anyway, I've made a start so let's see how this progresses once everyone's back in work after time off.

What's happening to TV lately? )

Maybe I spend too much of my time watching TV, I don't know but I only tend to watch the same things over and over.  I have a very low boredom threshold.  Someone recommend me something to watch!

So far? I'm loving it. I get to keep my LJ friends up to date bored to tears without having to copy and paste everywhere.  Can't wait to see what the future brings and am looking forward to more customisation options!

I have also started a DeadJournal account.  What the hell is wrong with me?  Until yesterday I'd never heard of either Dreamwidth OR DeadJournal and now I have both?  I like the idea of the DeadJournal.  I probably would have gone with that one first if I'd known about it but never mind.  Better late than never!
