I've just been on to the Aerosmith websites and found these. I don't care what it takes, I need them! Then there's everything else on there that is really good value for money!  How could anyone possibly so they're not a necessity.  If I didn't have a dog I'd go out and buy one just so I could have these!

What reality show would you most want to be a contestant on? What would your strategy for winning be?

Good grief...none of them.  They're all abysmal.  Why would anyone want to put themeslves through humiliation in public, because, let's face it, that's the only reason people watch them!

The last time I watched Big Brother was the very first one and it was fairly normal and entertaining (to some degree) but it just got more ridiculous as time went on and turned into a freak show!  Shame goes for I'm a Celebrity...OK at first but then all the 'bush tucker trials' were simply a case of who could eat the grossest thing.  What's entertaining in that?

I'd truly forgotten how dire terrestrial TV is until this morning when our Sky+ box packed up.  Well, not necessraily the box, the transponder on the satellite dish, which somehow works OK with the multiroom set we have upstairs.

We'd already done the troubleshooting thing on the Sky website but guess what?!  It didn't work.  Needless to say, Paul was in pain and did not need this but he bravely hobbled up and down swapping the boxes and cables.  Nothing worked.  Looked like I had to call Sky despite it being Banl Holiday...but then again, that's what they're there for and they'll be getting shedloads of pay for working when no-one else wants to, surely?

So, we had 2 options.  Take out insurance to cover all the Sky equipment for £10.50 a month or pay the engineer £60 to replace whatever needed replacing.  We opted for the £10.50 option as we have no faith whatsoever in Sky equipment but at least we'll have a new Sky box for Sunday (the engineer's calling between 8 am and 1 pm).  Sunday will be a big TV day...start of the MotoGP season, new Red Dwarf special and Lost (that's for him not me).

So, my choices today?  Shall We Dance?  film starring Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez, Poirrot, the Greatest Story Ever Told and 2 other channels of crap.  Time to start tha book I think!

*UPDATE*  (The funniest thing about 'Shall We Dance'?  "Blackpool later that year".  Do they really not have bigger and better dance competitions in the US?!)
