What was your favorite subject in elementary or primary school? Does it have anything to do with your life now?

I have to admit that all the subjects in primary school were my favourites.  I actually loved school back then...a lot different to the way it is now.  The only time we had exams was when we were moving on to grammar / high school and that was to determine which one you were going to.  Yes we had tests every week for spelling and multiplication but they were treated as fun and not a big deal.  It was only as I moved on to grammar school and realised I had to work hard if I wanted to do anything that I lost interest.  It wasn't that I couldn't do the work, it was simply that I wasn't interested.

I don't think I've changed much now actually.  I don't conform when someone says, "That's the way we've always done it".  I will always try and find another way, be it quicker or simply more entertaining for me!  As for whether it has anything to do with my life now...no, absolutely not.  I'm the office manager for a chauffeur company.  I never knew what I wanted to do when I left school.  Most of my peers went on to be doctors / teachers etc.

OK, so I was fully prepared to be bored and hate this, because anyone who knows me knows of my obsession with vampires and vampire stories.  I didn't hate it, I loved it.  Paul was disgusted with the amount of emotion in it (though in my experience vampirism isn't all about hunting people down and eating them.  Vampires have feelings too).  I then pointed out that he hadn't been tied to his chair and could have left at any minute.  I think the problem is, he'd only known it was a film about vampires and didn't realise the target audience of the film or the book.  Anyway, it's now on my wishlist and I might even treat myself to a book or two!
